What AI SEO means here.

Start with the plain version. When someone asks ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini or Google's AI Overviews a question, they get one written answer with a few sources named underneath. AI SEO is the work of making sure your business is one of those named sources. Not a link buried at position seven, a sentence inside the answer itself.

Traditional SEO optimizes for a list of ten blue links, where the click is the prize and the searcher does the comparing. AI search collapses that list. The model reads the candidate pages, decides which claims it can safely repeat, and writes the comparison for the user. If your page is hard to crawl, vague about who you are, or buries the answer under three paragraphs of warmup, the model quietly picks somebody else.
